The changelog below will highlight what has changed between this new version and the previous version.

Release notes summary

In this release, nine countries are receiving updated protected area maps, with additional legal contexts used for the LGL01 test (see list of countries in the Table below). Older protected area maps are still available using older EUDR Test Profile versions, see also the overview in Supported Countries.

Additionally, with this release, more countries are receiving an annual update to the deforestation maps (see list in Table below). For these updates, not only have the base forest maps of 2020 been improved, but also any deforestation occurring until mid-2025 is included. Precise cutoff dates of the maps differ per country and are available on request.

Finally, we included a small update to GET11, to match its behaviour to the rounding mechanism used on the EUDR Information System, making this test more accurate to predict issues on the EUDR IS.

Background

LGL01

v2.00

The following countries are receiving updated protected area maps:

  • Burundi

  • Republic of Congo

  • Ethiopia

  • Guinea

  • India

  • Liberia

  • Malaysia

  • Papua New Guinea

  • Togo

Verify is updating all the protected area maps, including more detailed and deeper contexts about each protected area and its farming permissions. These can be viewed in the Map View, or in the exported results in the Test Outputs.

DEF04

v1.00

Additional countries are being supported by the updated 2025 Space Intelligence deforestation maps:

  • Burundi

  • Colombia

  • Ecuador

  • Kenya

  • Laos

  • Peru

  • Rwanda

  • Tanzania

  • Vietnam

These countries received an annual update of the deforestation maps, meaning that they now include deforestation that occurred up to 2025.

GET11

v1.01

Slight change in the rounding method, mirroring the correct rounding method used by the EUDR IS.

As GET11 is intended to prepare users for the upload of their farm plot data to the EUDR IS, we aim to be fully aligned with the platform. Recently, we found that the rounding method used by the EUDR IS was slightly different from what we assumed before. The rounding method is now updated to fully match the EUDR IS behaviour.
