We’re happy to introduce a small but meaningful update to the Meridia Verify Portal—one that brings more clarity and confidence to your verification process. Based on user feedback, we’ve made it easier to understand why certain tests appear as Not Applicable (N/A) in your datasets.
These changes might seem subtle at first glance, but they go a long way in improving transparency and usability across the platform.
In many datasets, users noticed some tests marked as Not Applicable without much context. With this update, we’ve addressed that concern head-on by bringing in more detailed status information that aligns with our API and verification logic. Now, the Portal doesn’t just say N/A—it explains why.
You’ll now see tests neatly grouped and separated from the ones that were applied, making it easier to scan results. There are 3 categories described in the Not Applicable section:
Not Applicable: This refers to tests that haven't been implemented because key information needed to enable them is missing.
Skipped: This refers to non-executed tests due to missing required information in the farm records data set.
Missing reference data: This origin country does not contain a reference layer; therefore, assessing this farm record against this test cannot be implemented.
Human-readable status messages: When hovering over the info icon, clear information about each status is displayed.
Where You Can See These Updates
These improvements are built into several areas of the Portal:
Dataset Preparation & Analysis Step
When viewing a dataset, tests that are not applicable now show up with a defined status. This includes a clearer distinction between applied and non-applied tests, which makes it easier to evaluate your data at a glance.
Risk Details Breakdown & Results View
We’ve improved the readability and layout of test status information here. If you click on the More Details button in a dataset, you’ll find that unexecuted tests are now grouped separately with consistent structure and styling. Hovering over them even provides a quick explanation for why the test wasn’t used.
Farm Plots View
For those managing results at the farm level, you’ll now notice similar grouping and labelling applied to farm plot tests. This helps maintain clarity, even when working with more complex datasets.
Summary
These updates may seem small, but they bring a big improvement to your workflow. You now have a single, compact view that shows both applied and non-applied tests—each with meaningful, readable context. That means less confusion, more confidence, and a smoother verification experience across the portal.
